How to Develop Leaders in Your Church to Start a Gospel Centered ESL Ministry and Engage your Community
This training has a 20-person limit. First Registered, First Served. This is a 2 day training, each day is 9am – 5pm.
Did you know that Canadian statistics show that if Refugees don’t become fluent in English or French that ten years after they arrive over 70% of them will still live below the poverty line? Your church can make a difference in the lives of newcomers in your community—whether they are professionals, students, or refugees. Use English as a Second Language classes to help meet immigrants’ basic needs and share the hope of the gospel with them.
This two-day training will help your compassion ministry champions and your church:
- Change lives of volunteer ESL teachers’ lives as they discover and respond to their calling as literacy missionaries.
- Develop an ESL ministry at your church that builds relationships with your newcomer neighbours
- Create an environment in your ESL ministry that is a natural place for your churches literacy missionaries to share the gospel
- Practical help in how to recruit volunteers and place students
- Learn about how church-based ESL ministries often result in new bible studies and church plants
